Raking in the cash...this rocks HARD!

Hello all,

I want to thank all of you for making my day. You see, I signed into Google adsense and checked out my balance and I am almost 2 kicks richer! I have all of you to thank, I am not sure how it works, but I guess if people go to the site, or click on the ads, then I get more cash. All of the money I make here will go to a fund to put Zoey through college. Hopefully by the time she gets to college, text books will be 50 cents and tuition will be half that. Cross your finger for me and click away. Please tell your friends too.

Love you all!

Pulling heart strings...

Zoey's first road trip!

Well Zoey's first Road Trip has been a success thus far! It was a long drive but Zoey slept 98% of the way here!! It was great! We didn't have to stop once! I am hoping that the drive back will be as successful! We are here visiting my best friend Tina from Germany who just had a baby Girl Mia. I think by the time that we leave here Zoey will be fluent in German! Tina's Mom speaks German to all of us whether we understand or not. I think that Zoey understands more than I do but I try! It's been a such a fun trip that we are going to stay an extra day! We will get on the road tomorrow right after Zoey has her breakfast!! I am sure that Paul will be anxious to see us after he get's home from work! We miss and love him so much too!!

36 hours and no sap...

It has been just about 36 hours since the last time I saw my daughter or my wife. I did not think I would miss them, you know, go home crack open a beer and walk around naked. But, that is not fun anymore. I miss the noise, the squeaking, the smelly diapers and the cute smile and flailing arms and legs. Some of them I miss more then others, of course. I never thought I would miss them both as much as I do, I guess little Zoey is getting to my heart. Oh, so sappy.

Zoey's Triping...

Zoey and Heather decided to go to Arizona today, leaving me behind to take care of the dogs. They got there ok, about 4 and a half hour drive from Vegas with little much a-do. Now, I am home alone, missing the random squeak and cry from my daughter. I am sure we will post pictures of her first trip out of the sate when she returns.

Video of Zoey in the studio

Our not so sleeping beauty!

Well after a good night sleep last night (9pm-6:30am) our little sleeping beauty decided she needed to be up at midnight and 3am tonight. Now it's almost 4:30am and everyone in the house is sleeping but me. I don't have too many restless nights. Usually my head hits the pillow and I am out like a light! One of the many traits I have gotten from my Mom!) (Thanks Mom!) Other than that Zoey is going to Grandma and Grandpa Blonsky's today while I go to the gym! So we may have a story about that tomorrow! I'm going back to bed now! Goodnight. Well maybe... Good morning!

Intellectual conversation

For the first time, I talked to Zoey. Now, now, you probably think I am a horrable father, having this thing in the house for over three months and not saying a word to her. But that is not the case. Yesterday, when I got home, I did my usual thing and said hello to Cassie, Cruzer, Heather and Zoey. This time though, Zoey spoke back! I said hello, and she said waaahh, I said Whaaaha and she said Waaahh. Then I said whaooaaa, and she said Weeeaaa. This went back and forth for a good five or six exchanges. Now, I have no idea what I said, or for that matter what she was telling me, but it seemed to be a really funny story, as she could not hold back her smiling and silent laughing.

Next time, I have to record the conversation so I can ask her in a few years what the heck she was talking about.

Our Girl is growing up!!

So we have had quite an exciting week thus far! The news of the week is Zoey is cutting teeth! Sniffle sniffle!! She's growing up so fast!! I can't believe that in just a few short weeks she'll be 4 months already!! We are having so much fun with our little Zo! As you can see from the picture on the left Zoey is sitting in her high chair! She is well on her way to eating like a civilized little person! Paul has discovered that Zoey can repeatedly copy sounds!! It's probably the cutest thing I have ever seen! We hope to get it on video soon! So stay tuned!!

Tipping the Scales

Well Zoey is tipping the scales at an astonishing 13.8 lbs and measuring a lengthy 24.75 inches! Amazing!! She is mastering new skills everyday! This week she is working on spinning in a complete circle on her back. I think she's working on her career as a break dancer! Also this week she has managed to bring toys to her mouth and try her hardest to fit them into her little chipmunk cheeks! She has quite a little personality these days! I think she's gonna be a happy silly little kid just like her Daddy! (One of the traits that I fell most in love with when I met Paulie) The picture to the right is Zoey all sacked out after a long hard night of keeping Mommy awake!! Something else new for this week! We really thought that we had it easy after 3 solid nights of sleeping through the night! Well she threw us a curve ball on that one. I think she's just to keeping us on our toes! Which I'm sure she'll do for the rest of her life! Hopefully she's just going through a growing spurt and needs a little extra food!

Big Bags

Zoey has had a few really bad nights the last few nights. We are not sure what is going on, but she gets really cranky about 6-7pm and then is still crying when we give her a bath about 8pm. Once we feed her and put her down, she is a bit better. Then she wakes up about 12-1am and has a hard time going back to bed. This is not fun at all and we are not sure what is going on. We have not changed anything, well except we put her formula in the bigger bags, the large size drop-in's, but I doubt that could make a difference.

Time will tell.

All is lost...

Unlike the spherical chewy core of a Tootsie pop, the center of the magic eight ball is just a tube filled with water, blue dye, and a 20-sided die. My entire grounding in reality has been destroyed. I would turn to the 8-ball for guidance in these dark times, but now I know I would simply be subject to the whims of icosahedron floating in some blue water. All is lost.

Sleeping the night

Zoey is sleeping the night, well almost. She gets to bed about 9pm and wakes up at about 5am. This is MUCH better then the 2am and 4am wake up times she had just a few days ago. I hope that this continues.

Another weekend another fun time...

This weekend, Zoey seems to be able to sit up on her own. That is when she is laying down on some pillows; she can pull herself up and sit up. From what I can tell, this is a skill that most 3 months old do not have yet. I guess she is strong.

Also, she is starting to like her swing more. It used to just sit there and gather dust. She would go in it for a minute or so and then get annoyed. This weekend she noticed the mirror and birds above her head and stared at it for a good ten to twenty minutes. I think this will be another toy in her rotation, there used to be one, the baby Einstein thing and now this. Crazy cool.

Don't send your house to the Dentist ever again.

New Pictures and new Bottles

We finally got the new pictures from JC Penny, and they will be up at www.zoeyblonsky.com in the next day or so. They are super cute and my Niece looks adorable with Zoey.

Also, we decided to step up Zoey's intake to more then 4 ounces. That means that we needed to get bigger bottles. The bottles that we used to use were the Playtex drop in type that had a capacity of 4 ounces. We chose those bottle types because the nipple is large and Zoey seems to like them better. The smaller normal looking nipples that we tried, are ok, but Zoey just plays with them and they just flop out of her mouth. She is just too silly.

So the new bottles are really big and can go up to 10 ounces. We only bought a few, so we will see how she like them and then perhaps get more if we decide that we need to. Ok, I am at work, and I guess I should do that and not this, so off I go.

Tough nights

We have been having a few bad nights lately. We are not sure what is going on, but Zoey seems to wake up every ten minutes or so just screaming like crazy. I know this is getting to Heather, and it is getting to me too. I really hope she starts to get back into a pattern and starts to sleep the night. That would be awesome!

Later.
